30 March 2017
Dear Mary,
I just finished reading “Heroes Beneath the Waves”! What a wonderful tribute to our Submarine Veterans and Our Greatest Generation!!
You have collected a wonderful assortment of submarine stories that truly tell the “rest of the story.” Thank you so very much!
The importance of your book rest in the fact that those American Sailor were able to tell their “story.” Your book completes the vivid history of our Submarine Force.
Thanks so much for your most wonderful efforts. Please know that your book
has been a highlight of my association with SubVets of WWII over so many years.
Warm regards & thanks so much,
Al Konetzni, JR,
Vice Admiral, US NAVY (Retired)

Witches love ditches                          Knock Knock                              Beware of Jack-o- Lanterns

Where they hide                                trick or treat                               with bright shiny eyes

APRIL NATIONAL POETRY MONTH

HAUNTED MEMORIES
Hid in darkness
While people stop by
Peering from a distance
Wondering what secret hides
Or if ghost sit alone
Or Peers back at them
People search for clues
From broken glass
And overgrown vines
Secrets, no one would understand
In this world of judgement
Looking for someone to blame.

Lemonheads Soon to be Release.

Nathan Hendrickson My nephew.
Early Vimeo release for a film I co-produced and edited! It's set to be released on other major platforms in the coming months! Synopsis below:
"Three days into the nightmarish depths of heroin withdrawal, Leo Clemons is ready to do anything to get his fix. After a desperate plea to his drug dealer goes terribly wrong on the morning of Christmas Eve, Leo is forced to confront his 18 year old cousin Louis, who is also in the throes of addiction. Together, they decide to embark on a last-ditch adventure to cure their suffering, traversing the seedy underbelly of society in an increasingly urgent search for relief."

Ozark Hills
Motorcycles zoom down pig trails and twisting roads.
Beware, wildlife will knock at the door or hide inside.
Arkansas dumb laws: don’t wake up a bear to photograph,
or an alligator in your bathtub. Diamond digging
is allowed in a mud field as is, catching fish in the rain.
Wild persimmon fruit predicts winter, seed-shaped
spoon, deep snow or a fork, mild winter. Flatlanders
and hill people eat, poke sallet, muscadine, pawpaws,
wild hog, squirrel with dumplings and drink, sweet tea.
Ghosts roam buildings while Boggy Creek Monster
wanders aimlessly. Old witches do hocus pocus,
and turkeys fly during Turkey Trot Festival.
