Toad Fellow

Toad Fellow
© Mary Nida Smith

The twisted road
Covered with yellow leaves
Traveled a toad
Named Longfellow.

Longfellow the toad
Was a poet, remember
Who loved railroads
 The month of December.

The month of lights
All colors and shapes
That twinkled bright
Throughout the landscape.

SILENT SERVICE

Because we are the "SILENT SERVICE," many people are unaware of the services our submarine Brothers of the 'Phin performed in the Korean and Vietnam Wars. Thirty submarines served in the Korean War, as detailed on the Korean War Educator website *. Sixty-six submarines served in the Vietnam War, as detailed in a letter from United States Secretary of the Navy Ray Mabus.

Naval Undersea Museum - Heroes Beneath the Waves

Below Decks Log USS Sea Fox (SS-402) Association Newsletter Winter 2018 Edition - Copied from Sea Fox get-together report. Silverdale, Wa Oct 017 --

Jerry arranged for us to have a guided tour of the Naval Undersea Museum which was so chock full of information and items from submarines that we couldn’t fit it all in with the few hours we had there. In the gift shop at the museum, Jerry Foss and Joel Greenberg had authored a section in a submarine book titled: “Heroes Beneath the Waves” so we bought copies and had Jerry autograph them for us. Editor Joel M. Greenberg joelgreenberg804@yahoo.com I can't thank Joel enough for all the support he and the Sea Fox members have provide for, "Heroes Beneath the Waves".
